Featuring top components found in many high end guitars, our Strat® wiring harness makes use of vintage style push back cloth wire which in conjunction with the components, contributes to help reduce unwanted feedback which is common with single coil pickup guitars.

Strat® wiring harness consists of:

• 3 x 250k SSS Premium® CTS pots (8% tolerance)
• Prewired Switchcraft® USA 1/4'' jack socket
• CRL spring action 5 way switch
• 0.047uF SSS Premium® PIO capacitor
• Optional treble pass capacitor (aka treble bleed)
• Strat wiring diagram to connect your pickups and jack/ground

SSS Premium® CTS Pots

Featuring SSS Premium® CTS pots, our prewired Strat kit is the ultimate upgrade to stock electronics in any guitar. SSS Premium® CTS pots have a custom audio taper that we developed with CTS (as opposed to the modern 10% audio taper) giving you a smoother and more rounded control sweep - no sudden coking or drop offs. SSS Premium CTS pots are supplied within 8% resistance tolerance.

Bridge Tone Control Wiring

Want to tame your bridge pickup? Our Strat harness has the bridge pickup being connected to the second tone control. If you prefer not to have this - just ask!

Treble Bleed Mod

The optional treble bleed capacitor on the volume control retains more high end frequencies as you roll back the volume, resulting in a clearer, more rounded tone at lower volume levels.

Installation

Simply drop the prewired Strat® kit into your pickguard and reconnect your pickups, the jack socket and the ground running from the bridge or tremolo claw. Easy to read wiring diagram is provided. This kit comes with a prewired jack socket and just needs attaching to the volume control.

Will this fit my guitar?

This Stratocaster® wiring harness will fit genuine Fender® USA/Mexican Stratocasters. You can install it into any imported copy or model but you may be required to drill the holes on your pickguard to 10mm diameter to accommodate the larger US CTS pots.

If installing into an imported model or Strat® copy, you may need new control knobs and switch tip to fit the US made CTS pots and CRL switch.
