The TOWNER DOWN TENSION BAR SYSTEM
A one of its kind system providing the ability to manage your guitar strings sustain with a BIGSBY® tailpiece (B3 and B6). The TOWNER DOWN TENSION BAR allows for honing in the sweet spot of your break angle between the bridge and BIGSBY® vibrato tailpiece. You can easily and manually adjust string tension by simply adjusting the height of the tension bar. The bar itself is easy to assemble and isn't rigid - it moves (rolls) in conjunction with each compression of the Bigsby.
The Towner DTB relieves you from having to drill any extra holes in the guitar body, protecting the integrity of your guitar. It is designed to slot into the tailpiece studs and anchors commonly found on Les Paul and SG style guitars. This allows you to manually adjust the height of the bar setting string tension to your precise specs. Installation is easy and hassle free, eliminating the extra expense of having a guitar tech do it for you!
Note - the Towner Down Tension Bar is designed to fit into Gibson USA tailpiece studs. To ensure it fits, please make sure your studs are not wider than 0.265'' at the neck.
This package also includes the TOWNER HINGE-PLATE ADAPTOR which lifts the strap lock button up from the slot in the hinge-plate of the BIGSBY® B3 vibrato tailpiece.
