Mini toggle switches have long been used in guitar wiring so enable extra switching options such as coil splitting, series, parallel or phase wiring. They can also be used to activate individual pickups such as in this example: the "Gilmour" 7 way Strat wiring mod uses a SPDT mini toggle switch to activate the neck pickup. Once activated in a typical Strat setup, this allows the neck and bridge pickups to be played together, as well as all 3 pickups at the same time.
Comes with mounting hardware (lock washer, flat washer and hex nut) DPDT (double pole, double throw) for series/parallel, coil-splitting, phase switching and other special wiring setups. SPDT (single pole double throw) for on/off switching, coil-tapping/splitting, effects pedals and others
