This setup replicates the popular "50s style" Les Paul wiring but in a Stratocaster. Using the above wiring diagram will reduce the loss of highs which commonly occurs as the volume control is rolled back. For a more authentic sounding 50s style Strat, you could replace the 0.047uF tone capacitor with a 0.1uF which were used in vintage Strats of the 50s.
