Almost all electric guitars use a 1⁄4’’ mono jack socket as their output connector. The contacts on a high quality jack will last a lot longer ensuring a clear and crisp signal. Switchcraft® are the industry standard for such products and actually started out in business producing jacks for the booming telephone industry before a certain Leo Fender approached them to use their jacks in his guitars.
